Hello again! Good to see all is well and you are back on your computer, tablet, or phone to eyeball today’s glorious eye candy. Isn’t it a shame that you can’t reach through your screen and grab this amazing nun’s puffs dripping in honey and shovel it into your mouth as you carry on about your day? If you’ve never had nun’s puffs than you probably have no idea what you’re missing. If you have had nun’s puffs before than you are more than likely nodding your head in approval.
Nun’s puffs are almost magical. They start off as a paste-like mixture and end up a light fluffy hollow delicious treat. The way the batter rises is like I said… almost magical. I didn’t know what to expect, so when I broke into the top crust of the one below I was surprised at what I found! Michael and I discussed the various things we could stuff them with, but in the end we realized that if we stuffed anything inside the flavor would over power the delicateness of nun’s puffs.
In addition to enjoying nun’s puffs Michael and I have been crocheting! No need to “Come again?”. Yes, my big tough manly husband is crocheting with me. Over the years it is common to see me making various items with yarn. Michael usually sits next to me while I crochet as we enjoy a show. The kids are usually scattered between the other couches and floor. Michael is a sweetheart and always shows a genuine interest in what I’m making.
This time Emma and I were both working on our own projects while watching Once Upon A Time (The never-ending story from the creators of Lost…), and Michael asked if we would teach him how to crochet! Wow, how cool is that? So, of course, I taught him. It’s exciting to be able to share something new with him, even after all of these years we’ve been together. He sat with me for a good hour pulling and struggling with the yarn. Luckily, I didn’t have to unravel him when he was done, like I thought I would need to. He was actually really good! He never ceases to amaze me!
